Celebrating the 25 years anniversary Piguet decided to kick something special on the market, a timepiece better than the original version, with ads that will blow your mind. In this case we are talking about calibre improvement, sensational looking case and features crafted to the point of perfection.Probably I could have written more about the three editions coming out but we will have the chance to talk about it in some other occasion.
Alongside with the re-edition of the Royal Oak Offshore Self winding Chronograph there are two killers under the name of Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph with references 26421ST and 26421OR. Coming in stainless steel and 18 carat pink gold with completely different look and a cracking technology,…. Definitely it’s a real present for Piguet’s 25th anniversary.
The 45 mm case still kept the Piguet’s emblematic shape but the face of the dial is a different story. Created with extended bridges starting from each screw, visible skeletonise movement, a tourbillon located at 9 o’clock, a 30 minute chronograph at 3 o’clock and rose gold luminous hands, there is no way that you won’t be impressed.
The black dial looks amazing through the sapphire crystal window, the Bezel is made of 18 carat pink gold and the thickness of the case is 16.1mm coming with 100m water resistance. Black rubber strap with pink gold pin buckle gives elegant finish to the whole time piece, giving complete colour balance.
Royal Oak Offshore Tourbillon Chronograph 264210R.OO.A002CA.01 is a hand wound watch and is powered by winding the crown manually, so when it comes to adjusting time a black ceramic crown can easily be scrolled up and down.
This complication is build of 353 parts ( calibre 2947) and the balance wheel oscillates with frequency of 3HZ (21,600 vibrations per hour) providing 173 h power reserve. During setting of the skeletonise movement 30 jewels are used to help hold the balance of the mechanism, in the same time they give more value to a watch which should represent perfection with high style.
Royal Oak Offshore Tourbillon Chronograph REF 264210R.OO.A002CA.01 comes in a limited edition of 50 pieces only, and the price tag is CHF 325,000.
